Art-Away : Santa Fe

Art-Away trips are all about creativity, friendship and new experiences! This summer’s trip focuses on expressive drawing, painting and mixed media. We will spend time each day creating art in our home studio. For inspiration we will visit select galleries and museums in Santa Fe.
My goal for every student is that they
- see inspiring and relevant art, both contemporary and traditional
- explore their own creative process in response to what they see
- understand how art grows out of individual experiences
- express their unique voice through their art in a way that connects them to others
Students use sketchbooks, photography, even sound recordings to find direct and personal connections to what they see and experience throughout the week. They build on these impressions through the art they make each day. We are staying in an airbnb with studio space both indoors and out. When we are not making or looking at art, we enjoy delicious home cooked meals, play games, watch movies and enjoy each other’s company.

9:00am Meet in Boulder, drive to Santa Fe. Arrive by 5:00pm
